Capoeira it´s a brasilian art form it involves fighting techniques, dance, music, acrobatics developed 400 years ago in Brazil. It helps to improve balance, coordenation, mutual respect. It Can be practiced for kids and adults and it´s a nice way of keep fit and have fun at the same time. Group Senzala it´s one of the most tradional capoeira schools in the world, the London based group run classes for kids and adults under guindance of Professor Julio Sanhaço in North and Central London.

Oneil Pryce (caribbean dance workshop)
Oneil Pryce is native of Jamaica and a specialist teacher in the area of Caribbean Traditional Dance technique and theory. These techniques range from Jamaican traditional dance forms such as Kumina, Brukins, Gerreh, Jonkanoo to Landship from Barbados, and Bele, which is from the French Caribbean.
"My mission is to a) impart both technical and theoretical knowledge of dances of the Caribbean to people of all nationalities and ages, b) to foster appreciation of these traditional forms, and c) to help catapult the transition from appreciation to acceptance as part of the international idiom of dance."

Formed by a nucleus of 12 musicians in January 1984, the London School of Samba was the first Samba School in the UK. Of the 300 or so Samba groups in the UK today, many trace their roots back to them.

Come to play with Impact, in an exploration of Middle-Eastern and African rhythms with hand drumming and percussion!
This is a friendly workshop for the whole family - all ages welcome and no experience is necessary. Lead by percussionist and animator Cameron Sinclair, Impact is a group of exceptionally talented young percussionists from the Royal College of Music Junior Department.

Join in singing Chinese songs with Christine Chin. Christine has run family singing workshops for many years and is an accomplished singer, having given many peformances. She will get everyone singing Chinese songs, as well as singing some herself.

This demonstration given by The Classical and Fusion Indian Music Ensemble will be a combination of short performances and specific demonstration of different Indian Istruments. Each musical instrument will be introduced, with a short explanation of how the sound is produced and the range of notes that can be played. Example sections of traditional music played a festivals, weddings and other special occasions will be played along with contemporary pieces.

This family workshop will introduce families to thedizi (transverse bamboo flute), erhu (two-stringed fiddle), san xian (three-stringed lute), ban (wood blockand clappers), xiao (end-blown bamboo flute), and listen to examples of traditional southern Chinese music being played.
