Immerse yourself in over 150 musical performances, 30 architectural structures, events and exhibitions, plus interactive workshops, talks and tours… there is something for everyone!
The annual Music Day joins forces with the London Festival of Architecture to celebrate international music and architecture, bringing Exhibition Road to the centre of London’s cultural life on 21st June.
A huge range of music genres will be showcased, from classical, folk, jazz and fusion music to the latest bands, DJs and experimental music from the UK and beyond. Musical highlights on over 25 stages include performances from British Sea Power, players from Majestic Brass, Late of the Peer, Amadou & Mariam, Four Tet DJs and many others.
Meanwhile architectural installations and activities will show how contemporary architects experimentand create new ideas and structures. Highlights include installations from Foster & Partners, 6a Architects, Paticas Architecture, the Royal College of Art, Yung Ho Chang and much more.
In addition, visitors to the South Kensington culture and learning quarter have free rein on Exhibition Roadwhich is closed off to traffic for the day allowing people to see new Dixon Jones Architects plans for theredevelopment of the whole Road.
